The APLND Project was initiated in hopes to honor and remember our children who have passed away too soon. Our committee involves both men and women who have been impacted by child-loss. Each and every one of us has our own story and our children do as well.
We were all brought together by love; love for our children with wings. We all have very similar wishes and goals for this project. We want to raise awareness, give comfort to grieving parents, remember and honor all children, and give back to those who have helped us during the unbearable days following child-loss.

"This is an amazing way to honor every child lost too soon. I want grieving families to know that they are never alone. My son, Kayden James Horak-Federly, was stillborn on March 19th, 2015. Ever since I lost my son, I've had this desire to honor and remember my son and every child gone too soon. I truly believe this breathtakingly, beautiful memorial can do so! Please come together, stand up, speak out, and remember our children with APLND, IRIS, and I. Kayden James, you are forever loved and missed dearly. I love you son. F&A."

Founder and Executive Director of Infants Remembered In Silence, Inc.© (IRIS)
"IRIS was founded in 1987 following the stillbirth of my son. For 30 years we at IRIS have looked for a statue that would express the feelings those who are grieving have and the emotions they feel but are afraid to express. This touching statue expresses what we have no words for and perfectly depicts what grieving parents, grandparents, family and friends feels. It's a wonderful tribute to all children who have passed away and allows a viewer to understand and feel the emotions without saying a single word."

"We are incredibly honored to get to be a part of such an amazing project. In loving memory of our babies Payton Lee Prechel and Allison Mary Prechel."

"Being a mom with a few angel babies and being a photographer who has captured grief from stillborn babies to much older children gone too soon. I believe in this project. A place to honor our children and to feel united! Your never alone!"

"I'm involved in honor of my sons: Darby Park & Christian Bradley Meier lost due to 2nd trimester miscarriages and in remeberance of our 2 Angel Baby Meier miscarriages. Everything in regards to Darby's loss was handled inappropriately and without sensitivity or compassion. I hurt every time I hear or see a Woman walking through the pain of a miscarriage or stillbirth. No one should have to endure the pain of losing a child. This statute would allow all Mother's who have suffered the loss of a child a place to go to grieve or feel close and connected to their child or children."

"The loss of a child is painful forever. My son, Jake Michael Schaffran, was delivered into Heaven on July 16, 2009. My husband and I were very blessed with the help of Diana and IRIS. IRIS is an amazing organization dedicated to helping parents and family through this difficult journey in a very compassionate way not only at the time of loss, but also the time going forward. This sculpture will be a beautiful tribute for families to visit at the IRIS House in honor of all our precious children gone too soon."

"We are involved with this project because we want to make sure all children are remembered forever. Our own daughter, Sophia, was born into Heaven on June 30th, 2016. Our lives haven't been the same since. We are joining with an amazing group of people tragically touched by the loss of a child. We are uniting together and letting everyone know our children matter and they will not be forgotten♡"

Events Coordinator for A Parent's Love Never Dies, APLND
"I am a member of this Committee because of the loss of my granddaughter who was born sleeping at 40 weeks, one day after mother's day on 05/09/2016. My heart hurts and is forever broken for my daughter and her baby girl "Camille Marie." It is the most painful thing a parent can witness and I want everyone that has a child in Heaven to know that we have worked hard to keep their memories alive."

"Twenty years ago, on October 12, 1996 our son Joseph Thomas, a visitor from Heaven, was born still. Our arms were empty, our hearts broken and our dreams shattered but we were blessed by his brief presence. We were also blessed by the tireless, loving work of IRIS and everyone we've met from our experience. We want to contribute and help to make this artistic, emotional sculpture possible to provide a loving memorial for generations to come. To make a place and a beautiful monument to honor our precious children, here only briefly but remain in our hearts forever."
